Heads up our next Troop outing is the weekend of April 10 and is fast approaching. Details are still unfolding but the basics of the weekend is this will be our new scout outing weekend with the older scouts working with the new scouts on scout skills and having fun.
Outing Venue: Camp T.L. Storer. Boston Minuteman Scout Camp
Location: Barnstead NH (Not far from Wah-Tut-CA)
Camp sites reserved: Adams Lodge and Tombstone tent site (Map Attached)
Outing Cost: $25/person Boys and Adults. Covers cost of renting cabin and tent site
Food Cost: $25/person - Scouts pay cash to patrol Grub Master. Adults pay Troop with the outing fee and will be reimbursed for food purchased ($50 total for the weekend).
Weekend Itinerary details are still TBD but the plan is for the older scouts to work with the new scouts on scout skills and advancement. The actual implementation and execution is pending guidance from the PLC. But it will be a great weekend of fun for the new scouts to get know the older scouts and for the older scouts to practice their teaching skills and have fun with the new Scouts. Best of all this will be the first time the Troop has gone to T.L Storer so it will be an adventure for all.
Permission form will be coming out shortly but Payment can be brought to this week’s meeting
At this week’s meeting the patrols will be doing meal planning Scouts should bring $25 cash for the Grub Master to purchase food.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mr. Litchfield
